Our postal address is:

Debra Tracey

The Creative Space Studio
C9.1A Clarence Mill,
Clarence Road
SK10 5JZ

This is a working studio and whereas Debra is always happy to welcome visitors, it is suggested that you contact her to arrange an appointment to avoid disappointment.  Debra is quite often out of the studio, delivering workshops across the UK. If she is delivering a workshop at the studio, she is unable to leave her students to discuss your needs so apologises in advance.

If you are using a sat nav to find us, please ensure you input the street name otherwise you will be directed to the back of the mill.
There is a small multi-story car park at the back of the mill.  There is a walk through from here and you need to turn left and we are next to the Cafe Waterside.

It pains me to say that there are some steps up to the entrance and is therefore not wheelchair accessible.  I am thinking of how this can be addressed (mindful that I only rent a space in a Grade II listed building!) but be assured that if you are a wheelchair user and you wish to purchase some items, I will come out to you.  Also, if you wish to learn one of my crafts, I am able to come out to small groups. Please contact me for details.

Working from her waterside studio Debra Tracey not only produces delightful mosaic artwork commissions, quilled creations and jewellery, she also opens her studio

up to those wishing to learn a range of creative skills.

Debra runs regular workshops throughout the year for both adults and children.

Ideally located for Mums or Dads to sit in the cafe next door and unwind with a brew

as their child/ren learn and have fun through creative play.

Creative workshops for adults offers you time and creative space to 'just be myself' (student) and 'recharge my batteries' (student).
With a background in Adult and Family Education, Debra Tracey launched

'The Creative Space Studio' in 2007.  Her vast experience of working in the community

includes work with Groundwork UK, Marks & Spencer, BUPA, Douglas Development

Partnership, East Cheshire Council and more recently, Peaks & Plains Housing with

Macclesfield Town FC, who collaborated to commision Debra to work with nearly 400

local people to produce Macc Town's stunning Mosaic Mural at the Moss Rose.

Working from her Bollington Studio, Debra enjoys sharing her expertise during her

mosaic and art courses which she runs regularly.
*New Courses Added!* Check out our mosaic jewellery making and Christmas Decoration making workshops.

Friday 1st June saw Debra's donated 'White Nancy' Mosaic sell for £200 with a further 3

being commissioned, £50 of which will be donated to Bollington Festival.

Many local celebrations were cancelled on Sunday due to the appalling weather but

PROMS ON THE PITCH, bravely decided to keep going at Macclesfield Town FC Moss Rose Ground.

It probably had the best turn out of any event in the area

despite the weather and Debra was busy keeping children warm and creatively busy making crowns.

Just before Easter, Debra worked with Ash Grove, Upton Priory and Hurdsfield

Community Primary Schools.  Commmissioned by East Cheshire Council, Debra

worked with just under 100 children to get their ideas of which events during the last 60

years of Queen Elizabeth II's reign should be used on a visual timeline.

Each school was given two decades to research and come up with designs.

Debra helped the children to put their ideas to paper and although not all the designs

could be used on the mosaic, ALL the work produed by the childen were used as

bunting to hang behind the mosaic, which is currently being exhibited at

St Michael's Church in Macclesfield.

Please follow our Blog to see more pictures of the mosaic.

Saw the completion of the 190 square foot Macclesfield Town Community Mosaic

Mural! Here is  what Dave Towns, Macclesfield Town FC Stadium Manager had to say:
"Macclesfield Town have a connection with Debra through the creation of the Tile

Mosaic Mural created at our Moss Rose Ground covering the 100 year history of

Macclesfield Town Football Club.

Together with a local housing trust the club wanted to involve the wider Macclesfield

Community in the creation of a lasting image at the ground.

Debra at The Creative Space Studio were instrumental in finding and using over 20

local organisations of all ages and abilities and as a consequence over 400 people in

creating our mural.

The mural was completed on time and on budget and is a lasting testament to Debra’s

commitment and ability to manage/interact with people at all levels.

We will be keeping a close relationship with Debra and the team."
