| Our Winter Timetable
Here in our studio, we offer a range of activities such as mosaics, life drawing, silk painting, card craft and more.
We run courses to tie in with the academic calendar but please do call us to discuss workshops outside these times.
We aim to provide a creative space for you to forget about daily stresses and strains and enjoy learning new or updating existing skills whilst making friends.
Debra is the core tutor and she has been teaching adults since 1985 and children since 1995.
We are a privately run creative and educational establishment. We are not subsidised in anyway. As we are not affiliated to any external funding, we can run our groups with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8. We are learner led, not funding led.
What you do get for your money is a qualified, experienced artist who is generous with her knowledge in an insured, fully equipped studio. Refreshments are included in the price with morning and full day courses/workshops including a light lunch of a healthy home made soup. Debra also holds a current CRB certificate and Public Liability Insurance.
Unless otherwise stated, materials are not included.
All current students are entitled to a 10% discount off ALL art and craft materials and equipment. We have a wide range of mosaic and craft materials which we are expanding week by week.
Monday Mosaics at Adelphi Mill - Mondays (during term time) 6 pm - 8.30 pm
Come along to our fun and friendly mosaic workshops where you can mosaic to your heart's content.
£15 per person per session
Painting and Drawing for Beginners - Tuesdays - 6 Week course starting 13th March 7 pm - 9 pm
Our fun and friendly life drawing course is starting up again. We will have a nude model on some occasions with sessions demonstrating technique and consolidating learning.
£96 per person, per course.
Mosaic Club - Wednesdays (during term time) 10 am - 12. 30 pm
For those who cannot make the Monday evening sessions, our mid-week morning sessions offer the same opportunity to mosaic items of your choice. We currently have learners mosaicing a door plaque, mirror, picture and 'upcycling' projects. What will you mosaic?
£15 per person per session
Glass Fusing for Beginners - Wednesdays (6 week course starting 7th March) - 1 pm - 3 pm
Learn the basics whilst making a variety of fused objects using stained glass, dichroic glass, millefiori and recycled glass.
Particpants are welcome to join the Mosaic club at 12.30 for lunch.
£150 per person, per course (can be payable in 2 installments) fully inclusive of materials and firings.
Mosaic for the Garden - Saturday 24th March 10 am - 4 pm
A fun introduction to mosaic making. You will learn the basics and will be able to choose between decorating a mosaic fruit dish, a door number plaque or a teracotta plant pot.
£ 50 per person, fully inclusive.
